All My Time Drinking, While Pregnant?!

Haha, don't you worry...it's all juice.  But I am the Sober Blogger of Wine Art Wednesdays and the Sober Blogger - check it out - and I have been spending ALL of my time on this new venture.  (I apologize!)  I've also just updated all of our Etsy (WineArtWednesdays) listings and we need help spreading the word.  Do you have any marketing tips for us?

Thanks so much readers & friends!

Happy Monday!

New Etsy Listings

I've just freshened up my MarthaHaskins Etsy shop to sell a few things that I apparently was hiding from myself.  What good does that do?  Keeping a painting hidden?  Anyhow, just a few small things and starting to get some vintage listed.  I've also been working with a few friends to start a new Etsy and blog that we've been keeping to ourselves, but I feel like sharing called "Wine Art Wednesdays and the Sober Blogger."  It's addicting!  Wednesdays feel like my weekend now since I look forward to them so much!  Anyhow, you can click on the links to the right (at the top of this blog) to see the paintings and clothing, but I'll post a photo or two for you below as well.  Happy Etsying!

I feel like running through the trees...

...but I'll settle for browsing Etsy.  If I could be truly nomadic, I would don a simple black bamboo tank, one of the following two pairs of pants, and go happily barefoot and carefree on my way.  Oh, and I'd hang the wreath on the door of my Airstream.

Damn French Desserts

Here I am trying to design my own label, business cards, etc...when I should have contacted "damnfrenchdesserts" all along!  Above is her "Queen To The Bone Cards (Set of Ten)" and below is "Dissecting Godiva (Five Cards and Envelopes)."
I found them through Etsy Finds and am happy to say that you can find them in quite a few places:

Happy Victorian Ephemera (as DFD would say)!

Steampunk Keyboard!

"Antique looking -IBM Clicky Keyboard-Victorian Styling - Steampunk- Typewriter" by woodguy32

I want this.

Rootin' Scootin'

So...a guy stepped in front of me in the bike path this morning and I had to slam on my little scooter brakes and in doing so, I lightly bumped in to the back of his shoe.  He turns with this scowl and says "EXCUSE ME?!"  So I said "You are excused" (yes, just like a little brat - I was MAD!) and continued on.  As I'm scooting away I hear him grumbling to two cops and one of them says "Well, you did step in front of her, Sir" and the other one says "and she did ring her bell."  MUAHHAHAHA - Wish he could get a ticket for that!

I love it when a morning starts out with so much action.  I'm ready for anything today!  (Or just to perhaps purchase this necklace.  Isn't it awesome?!)

I wonder if the wheels work?!

Happy Tuesday all!

PS: Currently reading "Your Money OR Your Life" and I highly recommend it.  My new motto: "Create and Save!"  (I should always make sure I am spending my time by creating something or saving something (whether money or the planet)...I'm loving it - I'm so much more productive when I repeat this mantra!)

Breakfast Embroidery

I've discovered the secret to life (thanks to a colleague and a teacher).
1. Fage Greek Yogurt (first time, thanks Jaz!) + Honey + Blueberries = AMAZING
2. Assigned homework: any type of embroidery that I want...

Heaven?  I think so.  Life is good.

Happy Halloween!

The view from my back door - this flowers are beautiful!  I'm thrilled with this burst of color - especially with all the dreary rain days we've had lately.  (One photo of the mums is for sale on my MarthaHaskins Etsy site - click here.)  Both Leo and Tank are enjoying this lazy Saturday morning as well, although little do they know that we will be sewing and painting and gluing in just a bit to get ready for tonight!  Oh, wait, now they are wrestling....I love weekends.  Here's another one of these crazy photos I took the other day (a few are posted on facebook).  I thought it was appropriate for today.  Happy Halloween!

If I had $100.00 on Etsy.com

I'd buy SweetToothVintage's Blue Floral Print Tent Dress for a day on the town! (Click here to view her shop!)
And I'd pair it with mylavaliere's Swallow Headband. (Here!)
I'd place lauratrevey's beautiful watercolours ALL over my office. (Here!)
I'd carry asaborake's leather Pencil Case with me wherever I go! (Here!)
And I'd want to carry DeeRPhotoArts' up close and personal Peacock Photo with me whenever the rain starts falling... (Here!)

And with that last $1.00 - I'd buy a lottery ticket to try to be able to purchase...
sheriscrystals' Wedding Cake Chandelier...Now...above my studio desk or vanity? How will I ever decide! (Visit her store here!)

What would you buy?

Valhalla Brooklyn

I've come to realize in all my travels that I still don't have the perfect carry-on bag...insert AMAZING FIND ON ETSY here! Valhalla Brooklyn comes to the rescue.

Karin, the woman behind the genius at Valhalla Brooklyn has been patiently working with me to design my dream bag! A combination of one of her XL Luggage bags in size and the Vigga bag (pictured above) in styling - I can't wait to feel the smooth leather on my shoulder and the funky lining sliding between my fingers.

Check out her website (with tons of amazing photos) here. She's got talent!
